About 2 miles into Newquay, nice walk along the cliffs, fantastic customer service, felt as if we were friends come to stay. OK so the hotel is a bit 1970's but we had a great time. Stayed here for 4 nights with my husband and 2 teenage daughters having booked a bargain break with travel zoo. What a find! Situated right opposite Porth beach which is a locals beach and never crowded. 15 minutes walk to newquay or Watergate Bay. Lovely quiet location. Excellent value for money. Good location, right on the beach in Porth, and only 15 minutes walk to Newquay centre. Rooms were small, but had all the facilities required. the breakfasts were enormous, and the staff were happy to provide anything you wanted. Overall a very good stay in Cornwall, would stay here again and recommend to others. more

Just returned from the Travel Zoo Garden Weekend in Cornwall. Paid just £89 for four nights, extra £9 for a sea view. This included tickets to Lost Gardens of Pelligon and the Eden Project. Stayed here very recently. Room was 'surface' clean - biscuit crumbs in the bedside drawer - hair all over the toilet and wash basin - had to clean the bath before we could use it. Breakfast good and staff pleasant. Reasonable price, but wouldn't reccommend. more

Booked special 4 night break through Travel Zoo (£89 pp), and it was good value for money compared to prices we'd been quoted for other B&B's.
