This is an easy review to write as my recent stay with friends at the Gul Rock Hotel in Porth near Newqay was excellent. The large For Sale sign at the front door made me feel less than welcome. The leaflet in the bedroom trying to sell me timeshare when the property was redeveloped impressed me even less. cheapest place I could find for my partner and myself as we were on a budget. Not at all stuffy - we were made to feel very welcome by the freindly staff. Bar food and breakfast was nice, breakfast served til late morning which meant we could have a lie in. Can't really expect too much after paying hardly anything... more

absolutely nothing like what the brochure shows we was extremely disappointed we was due to stop seven days but we could only manage two.
