A nice welcome and excellent breakfastsbut the hotel needs a new cleaner, the carpets were never hoovered and the bathroom floor quite honestly was filthy. Could do with a decent light in the bathroom, so dull, and the rooms were damp, all our clothes felt damp. Would never go again. more

Second stay this year, they were busier this time, yet the service was still fantastic. Great food still, though they changed the meal.... where is the gorgeous monk fish gone..... hehe. I've been looking forward for the whole month to have it again. Sorry I just love fish...... so I had the salmon...... the taste excellent... compliments to the chef... more

We were a bit worried about booking a 2 star, but we could not have wished for a better hotel or location. The staff were extremely friendly, nothing was too much for them and have to thank Bell and Tom in particular as they went out of their way for us when they really didn't have too. Hotel rooms were... more

We were greeted by a warm and friendly welcome on our arrival at the Blue Bay. We were given tea in the lounge, overlooking Mawgan Porth Bay. The view was amazing. We stayed in Sandpiper, which suited us perfectly, as it opened up on to the deck and the garden. Although we weren't blessed with the most amazing weather, we... more

The Blue Bay Hotel is far more than an extended bungalow. From the moment we arrived we experienced a most helpful and relaxed response from the hotel staff; nothing was too much trouble. We decided to have an evening meal there and we had nothing but praise for the food and the service - the menu was imaginative and many... more

Anyone travelling round England knows how hard it is to find decent well-priced hotels and so this place is an island of hope. The rooms are all well-appointed out-houses with en-suite bathrooms with TV. The hotel itself has a spectacular view of Morgan Porth bay and the staff were really quite wonderful. They also knock up a hearty breakfast the... more

Cleo the lurcher and Hermes the boarder collie both thought this the best hotel ever. A bright room with a sea view (just about) and french doors onto their own private lawn. What more could puppies want? Well, friendly staff and a dog friendly sandy beach were welcome too. Probably best not to mention that they were pleased to be... more
