Keigwin House is a friendly, family-run quality guesthouse situated on treelined Alexandra Road in Penzance. Keigwin is one of a row of Victorian houses built in the 1850s, now modernised for your comfort whilst retaining many original features. Fran and Stuart Brint moved over to Penzance from the Isles of Scilly after purchasing Keigwin in 2005. Since then, Fran and Stuart have taken on an extensive programme of refurbishment and modernisation and now enjoy welcoming guests to their home. Keigwin House is a friendly, relaxed place to stay whilst enjoying the delights that Penzance has to offer. There is a choice of tastefully furnished family, double, twin and single rooms. All rooms are en suite with the exception of both the single rooms and one twin room which all have a vanity basin but share a bathroom. Bathrobes are provided in the standard rooms. We are also ideally placed for you to venture further afield, whether by car, bus or train, and explore the stunning scenery and attractions that West Cornwall has to offer.

My one day trip to Penzance, first time, turned into an overnight thanks to GWR cancelling the evening train out. Not due to strikes, but still, unexpected. Thanks to a recommendation from Lamp&Whistle, and a nice gentleman (a guesthouse owner himself) having a drink who said the owners were lovely people..I ended up at Keigwin House and it was fabulous. (keep in mind this is high season and most places require 2 night min) Welcoming, quiet area, spotless room, complete with a new toothbrush! Prices really reasonable. BTW, pictures don't do the rooms justice. Early train, so didn't sample the breakfast, but it sounded delicious. I couldn't have had a better end to the day. Thank you Fran & Stuart.. for sure will be back!

We stayed at Keigwin House after returning from the Isles of Scilly on the Scillonian. The rooms were very well decorated and maintained especially for the price. The breakfast was also very good with lots of options, bacon and sausage from local suppliers. The owners were friendly and helpful throughout. At breakfast time, smart Keigwin House t-shirts were worn which I thought was a nice touch.

After a day of travelling and everything going wrong, I had to quickly book a room after missing my flight that day. Both owners were super friendly and made me feel so welcome after a nightmare of a day. They were very helpful and even arranged transport from Penzance to Lands End Airport. The room was spotless. The bed was very comfy and had an excellent sleep. Just a short walk from the beach and not far from the town centre !!! Highly recommend this B&B !!

Ended up here as a bit of an emergency after our flight to the Scilly Isles was cancelled. Very welcoming. Fran was super helpful. A flight came up earlier than expected the morning after and they produced a superb cooked breakfast much earlier than planned with quality local ingredients. The bacon rashers were VERY thick cut and utterly delicious. Room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Thank you for your hospitality after a disappointing evening. 🙂

Keigwin House is a very well run B&B in a good location for both Penzance and exploring the west of Cornwall. There is parking available nearby and buses within 5 minutes. The breakfasts are very good and the room very comfortable and Fran, the owner, is always friendly and helpful

Keigwin House is located in a very nice row of houses in a quiet area but not far from the city centre. Our room was nicely decorated and very comfortable with all the ammenities we could want. The hosts are very friendly, serviceminded and helpful. The breakfast was great and served in a lovely room. This is a great place to stay in Penzance!

My wife and I spent a night here during during our South West Coast Path walk. We were welcomed by Fran and shown to a very comfortable room with en suite facilities. A comprehensive breakfast was brought to our room with a table and chairs provided. Our room was away from the road and very quiet, allowing a good night's sleep. Much to recommend.

Stayed here with a friend at the end of a long distance bike ride. Really comfortable rooms, good breakfast and Fran couldn't have been more accommodating. A short stroll to the seafront and close to the train station. It was excellent.

Fran looked after us very well for a couple of nights, with nothing too much trouble. The twin room was comfortable, light and spacious. While it wasn't ensuite, the large bathroom was all ours and was literally adjacent.

I had the pleasure of getting a 1 night stay at Keigwin House, the day before I travelled to the Scilly Isles. I was welcomed by the owner Fran, who was Friendly and made You feel welcome. I was shown to my room which was clean and looked very well presented. I was leaving early the next morning just as breakfast would if been strarting . Fran had asked Me this and kindly accommodated Me and made Me an earlier breakfast before I left. Overall it was a very pleasant stay at the Keigwin. Fran was helpful with Local information if any is needed. I would definitely recommend the Keigwin and personally if I'm ever needing a stay in Penzance I would be contacting Keigwin House again.
