Treventon offers quality and value bed and breakfast accommodation in the beautiful Cornish harbour town of Penzance in the South West of England. Located a short stroll from the town centre and two minutes walk from the promenade. Treventon is very are convenient for those travelling to the Isles of Scilly on the Scillonian Ferry which is only 15 minutes walk away along the promenade. The house retains many original Victorian period features and is modernised to a high standard providing our guests contemporary comforts for a perfect stay. Treventon is one of the best bed & breakfasts, enjoying a great holiday location. We are near to beautiful St Ives, the quaint fishing village of Mousehole and the world famous St Michaels Mount.

The host is brilliant and gracious. We came to walk the Cornwall Coastal path and the room was comfortable, spacious, quiet, and huge. The continental breakfast and wonderful coffee made it easy to take on the brutal topography of the coastal path. Lots of good restaurants nearby for supper, and excellent pubs with local flair/ambience. I wholeheartedly recommend the Treventon Guest House for any couple exploring the Penzance area

We were very happy with our 3 night stay here. The room was on the second floor but Bernard who runs it was more than happy to help with luggage etc. He made our stay as he was happy to talk and give any helpful information he could. It was like staying with a friend as he was always friendly and helpful. There is no cleaning of the room or bed making for a short stay but we were more than happy with that and quite liked the idea that nobody was coming into the room and we could leave it as messy as we wanted without feeling guilty! The house has beautiful Victorian features including a wonderful mosaic floor on the ground floor. It is very near to the promenade and various shops, pubs, fish and chips, garages etc. There is a bus stop nearby but buses don’t always run to time! We used the bus station which is about a 15 to 20 min. walk. A good breakfast as long as you are happy with continental and a good coffee machine. Everything was clean and tasteful. Would definitely recommend.…

Stayed here as I was attending a rugby match. Excellent location as I only had to cross the road for the clubhouse. Large spacious rooms which were clean and tidy. The bathroom was not very big but given the layout of the room this was understandable. It did the job however. All rooms are on the first floor so if you struggle with stairs then this may not be the place for you. I was aware of this when I booked but preferred having the proximity to the rugby ground. Breakfast is self service continental style. Although I found a parking space outside easily I suspect at times this may be difficult. I would happily stay here again.

Lovely guest house at the west end of Penzance. Within walking distance of the main town and close to the beach. Lovely decor and a warm welcome from the host Bernard. We were on the second floor up a tight staircase which was fine for us but might be steep for some guests. Just enough fresh food supplied as a help yourself breakfast style with unlimited tea and coffee all day. Would recommend this guest house happily, we managed to park on the road even though it was a bit busy all around this area.

Information about access to the B&B was very clear and worked well. The premises were airy, bright, well decorated and very clean. Our room was on the second floor which involved a steep second flight of stairs with a good handrail. The room was a good size, with 2 very comfortable beds, a spotless en suite with a good shower, lots of hanging and drawer space and 2 armchairs. We had a good night’s sleep (rarely the case on a first night); the room was quite quiet given that it faced onto a quite busy route - perhaps because it was on the second floor. The breakfast room was very comfortable and well appointed with drinks facilities, cutlery, etc which could be used by residents at other times of the day for take away meals. The breakfast was an excellent continental breakfast with a choice of juices, cereals, plain yogurt and fresh berry fruits. Also available was possibly the best croissant I’ve had in the UK, toast, spreads and a good range of both teas and coffees (available all day). The host, Bernard, had gone out of his way to make the accommodation comfortable and welcoming. He was most helpful when it came to helping with the coffee machine and anything else where his insight was needed - a most obliging and thoughtful host. If and when we need to return to this area we will have no hesitation in returning. The premises would not be suitable for people with mobility issues; there are no rooms on the ground floor and there is no lift but otherwise, difficult to fault at this price bracket.…

Our experience at Treventon was exceptional. The room was spotless when we first arrived, and Bernard offered a warm welcome, showing us the breakfast room. On that topic, the breakfast is gorgeous, a yummy continental breakfast with fresh croissants and plenty of coffee, cereal and toast. Benard is an attentive host, he is always willing to assist in whatever you need (fresh towels, toiletries, etc) The bed was comfy and the pillows firm and supportive (which is my personal preference!). The house just has a lovely vibe, really homely, calm, quiet and relaxing. Just simply lovely. The location is very close to the promenade and 15mins walk along the ocean front from town centre - this suited us really well as we like a quiet, chill stay, but may not be suited for those who like hustle, bustle and noise. I am always looking for a good deal, and we felt that Treventon was excellent value for money, considering the level of care taken by Bernard and the cleaning team to ensure we had a wonderful stay for 6 nights. There is a Beryl bike stand 2 mins away, perfect for those who like to cycle around town and along the promenade. We recommend walking (15mins) to Penzance Station if you want to get the bus to Marizion or Land's End - the bus gets full immediately. Thank you Bernard for hosting us!…

Treventon Guest House was extremely easy to find and is a very short walk from the Promenade. There is only on-street parking which I should imagine is quite tricky at peak season - we visited early May and were lucky to park directly opposite the guest house. Check in instructions were clear and worked perfectly. The guest house is immaculately clean with fresh decor, very comfy beds and spotless bathrooms. Breakfast is self-serve continental with the bonus of fresh croissants on offer daily. Bernard is the perfect host, very attentive and knowledgeable about whats on offer in the local area. I highly recommend a stay at Treventon !!!

We loved this B&B - it’s a beautiful character building, renovated really tastefully. Our room was huge and all the details were covered off to make it a comfortable stay. We liked the self-checkin since it took the pressure off arriving at a certain time. Small suggestion, that a board in the foyer with rooms and names would make it even simpler. Lovely continental breakfast in the bright, light dining room. Bernard is running a top place!
