Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I do not usually write reviews, but just returned and my wife & freind had to spend an hour cleaning the surfaces of the kitchen, as it looked like nothing had been done sice others went, There clothes were covered in dirt, The oven was not too clean and thank goodness for local food outlets, Bathrooms need a reburb, shower over the bath feels like you are going to go through the floor. Beds are not too comfortable with a few springs, parking is also not too easy. It is a pity as other at side have had refurbs with one of 100k and look superb.

house owner was in very bad mood when we entered. she said she had a couple taking illegal drugs in her house the night before, and thus she kicked them out. and she just discovered her irons and hair-dryers has been stolen by the couple. despite that, she still tried to make us welcome. my friends' room is ok, but mine stinks!! super stinks!! i love hard pillows, so i stuffed the two soft pillows i was provided into one pillow case, so they became one harder pillow. i left them in the way i slept on them as i left. soon after i checked out, i received a call frm the house owner in a very bad tone. she acused that i stole her pillow!!! i explained to her what i did with the pillows, she said she have to check, since she wasnt in the room when she made the call. she cut the line with this bad attitude. no replies afterwards. therefore no appologies was given. btw, the pillows i got from her are some old pillows in irrgular shapes and with hairs all over them. why would i steal them?

We were driving through Cornwall and were redirected back to Penzance for the night. We were told of the road entering into Penzance where there were virtually B&Bs on both sides of the road. We parked and set off on foot to find a place for the night. Warwick St Marys was lit up with a Vacancy sign so we headed in there. We were welcomed by Theo who showed us a lovely room upstairs. Nicely decorated, nice bathroom and very comfy. We'd been driving all day and wanted to have something to eat and get a good nights sleep before heading off the next day. Theo indicated a pub down the end of the road where we headed to and had a nice dinner, probably the last diners, and for whom they stayed open for. So kind. We awoke to a very cheerful Theo who gave us a lovely breakfast before heading off on our next day of visiting the area.

We enjoyed our stay here very much! The room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and casual- which was nice and made us feel at home right away. Great breakfast and comfortable bed! What more could you ask for? And Penzance is a must see - beautiful place and not at touristy as St. Ives. The B&B is an easy walk into town. Definitely recommend!!

The place isn't extraordinary ( a couple of things have been broken inside the room ) , but we had a good stay here. Breakfast was alright, owner was helpful, pricing is ok, WIFI good and the place is not too far away from the centre and the ferry terminal.

Pleasantly surprised with this B&B as other B&Bs in the area were more expensive. Lovely warm welcome and we were made to feel at home straight away. The room was nice and comfortable and the breakfast was good. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Penzance or surrounding areas.

Oh really, here we go again, a not so comfortable bed lumpy in fact and old carpet from the 70's you know the purple swirls and trodden down. The smell of bed if you know what I mean. Greeted by a young man who was covered in grease as if just come from under a car. Breakfast next day was dreadful cheap and nasty. The lady who served us called us darling all the time..lovely lady in fact, just this b&b is run on a shoe string. And was not cheap by any means.

Upon arriving at the Warwick St Mary's we discovered the property is adjacent to a backpacker house. Given the price, which was higher than in most parts of England, we arrived to an untidy, even dirty property. A single look inside made us quickly realise the pictures posted and the comments written had very little to do with the reality. In short the advertising was inaccurate and misleading. We did not stay at the place having felt ripped off.
