So after seeing the hotel and thinking great, was then given a key fob and told what room we were in, no help carrying luggage or even shown the room, but to be honest, if I had to show a room that small I probably wouldn't be to keen either. Basically big enough for the two of us to walk... More

I stayed at the Guest lodge Penzance, whilst working at nearby Heamoor for a week. The rooms are very small, more roombed than bedroom, but the decor is clean, simple and stylish and there is plenty of storage space to hang clothes and stow cases. The bathroom style high windows in the room are a bit strange and they make... More

Guys, this is what it is - A cheap place to sleep. No, the attention to detail is not astounding and yes, it does whiff of damp a bit but what did you expect?! I paid £55 for a double room, it had a fridge, a TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a shower and somewhere to get my head... More

We booked a room with a double bed. There was a mouldy smell at the entrance of The Guest Lodge. The room was small with a small double bed. The room would have been more appropriate as single. The mattress was on boards and should been discarded long ago - most uncomfortable and I eventually got 3 hrs sleep. Duvet... More

When you arrive at The Guest Lodge Penzance, at first you see a nice hotel on the seaside (The Beachfield Hotel). Then it dawns on you that what you are actually looking for is the shabby two-storey building in the back alley behind it. There is no reception, to check in you have to go the Beachfield's reception. The hotel... More

Small room, bedding with stains, tiny high windows that are frosted and open onto a fence. Wardrobe, bedside tables and head board all made of old kitchen work surfaces. No hot water in shower on second day. Breakfast ok but service poor. Had to steal cutlery off other tables to make a full set. Poss worst hotel experience for a... More

The only problem with the place was that we couldn't find it. It is just behind the central boulevard but you have to check in at the Beachfield hotel. And we didn't know. So maybe the hotel could tell you this in your reservation confirmation? The room was not big, but clean.

The room was very small, and cramped, with just a small slit window from which it was impossible to look out. There were few facilities, a towel, but nothing more... ! Apart from the receptionist who checked us in, we did not see another member of staff for the entire stay of four days! The room was clean, as were... More
