Perfect blend of Professionalism and Friendliness. Clare handles front of house and was great to communicate with. The B&B is beautifully presented and rooms contain everything you need for a comfortable stay. The WiFi signal is strong throughout the house. The breakfast is outstanding. Kevin makes a great Cooked Breakfast and the continental selection is good. I ended up staying an extra night. First night in the single room was good, it has a small balcony with an awesome view towards St Michael's Mount. The family room also has a nice bay window with a lovely view out to the sea and is very spacious. I highly recommend to stay.

When returning to this B & B at 10.30 in the evening we were unable to get into the front door with the keys provided. We rang the doorbell but no-one answered. We called the phone no. but it went to answerphone. After several minutes of waiting on the doorstep an irate man answered the door accusing us of "waking everybody up". We told him the key did not fit, he didn't believe us so he came outside, closed the door & tried the key himself. He also could then not get it! He had locked himself out and had to retrieve a spare key from a lockbox in order to get back in. We also came into the house then, and asked him what the problem with the key was. He then flew into a rage & accused us of "bending the lock"! And that "There is no problem with the f....... key". He then suddenly lost his temper & manhandled us out of the property whilst shouting "Get out of my f.......... house". We are two pensioners & we were left outside with no where to stay, speechless, totally shocked and stunned by this outrageous behaviour. We later learned that the man in question was Kevin Lynch, the proprietor. You have been warned!…

Bay Lodge is a lovely bright and airy home. I call it a home because that is what it felt like the owners are very welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Bed linen and towels are pristine but bath towel could be bigger for me. Breakfast was fantastic well cooked and well presented with a cheery smile. Would not hesitate in stopping here again. Thank you

The breakfasts are unbeatable with a wide menu choice and the hosts go that extra mile to please – even to the point of offering us a lift to the station so we didn’t have to get wet. Our third time here and hopefully not the last!

Can't fault this lovely b&b. You'll get a warm welcome from hosts Clare and Kevin, who are happy to share their wealth of local knowledge and are always up for a chat. Breakfasts are amazing - the full English is a real gut-buster, but Clare is happy to tailor breakfast to whatever you want - cereal, fruit and yoghurt are standard and of course bottomless tea or coffee pot. Rooms are refreshed daily - if you wish - and the bed was super-comfortable. Daily fresh towels are a treat that you don't normally get in hotels these days. But here nothing is too much trouble. I can't wait to go again next year. Highly recommended!

Fantastic breakfast cooked by Kevin and balanced with fruit. Ample car parking for small b&b. Helpful Clare was of assistance in places to have evening meal. Nice clean and tidy room. The only small thing was the compact shower room but ok once got used to it. Good location for Penzance, newlyn and walking access to mouse hole to the south and marazion and at Michaels mount to the north.

I confess to being baffled at some of the reviews of the Bay Lodge. Having said that, Clare was warm, welcoming and efficient, the breakfast was good - the individual bowls of fruit were a very nice touch - and there is a lovely view of St Michael's Mount from the landing. The room was comfortable, although the duvets were thin and narrow and the bathroom tiny. Bending over the sink is a hazard as you may well set off the automatic soap dispenser into your hair. But the reason I will not be returning is Kevin. At least I assume that's who he was, as he didn't introduce himself, nor greet us in any way. When my friend and I explained who we were we got an unsmiling "I know who you are" in response. When we made a perfectly reasonable request, instead of a polite explanation as to why it wasn't possible, we were treated to a lengthy rant. I have stayed in many hotels in many different places and have never experienced such spectacular rudeness. I write this with a heavy heart as Clare worked very hard to make our stay comfortable but it was memorable for the wrong reason.…

Stayed here for 3rd time. Thought I had left a review. But anyway. As usual Clare and Kevin are excellent hosts. Ideally located for local transport. And retail park not far. Both helpful and informative. And a Kevin makes cracking breakfast! Looking forward to next year.

Just a great place to stay and the owners couldn’t do enough to help. From initial phone call to final breakfast I was made to feel incredibly welcome by both Clare and Kevin. The room was clean and tidy with a view out to the sea. Breakfast is lovely and ready for you at the time you request. I really enjoyed my stay and will be returning for sure.

Stayed at bay lodge in double room with en suite and sea view for august bank holiday. The rooms are spotlessly clean comfortable bed and small en suite shower room. Fabulous location opposite the beach 10 minutes stroll into Penzance. But what makes the place stand out are the hosts Claire & Kevin are brilliant they supply huge breakfast with loads of choice ,they go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay helpful chatty and loads of local knowledge and information. Would highly recommend and will definitely return
