We have stayed at the Headlands twice. It has amazing views of the coast and good access to that area of Cornwall. The owners and staff were really kind and helpful and the breakfasts and dinner are very good. We had drinks in the bar each evening before our meal and saw the sun go down. The rooms are clean... more

Thirty years ago we stayed at an Hotel in Port Issac (long gone!) and looked across the Bay to the Headlands. At the time we said 'one of these days we must stay there'. That day came this weekend and we were not disappointed! We arrived in sunshine and the views and Hotel looked wonderful! Yes, as some reviewers have... more

I stayed here with my Mum in August. What a great place to stay. Amazing views. Fantastic food. Funny and friendly staff. Sian - the breakfast waitress and a waitress at a restaurant (where they sell the best fish n chips in Port Issac) is a friendly funny girl who even stars in Doc Martin - some of the up... more

We last visited this hotel about 12 years ago. We really enjoyed our stay then and the experience this time was even better. The hotel is in a beautiful location with fantastic views. We were pleased to find that it was still under the same family ownership. The moment you walk in through the entrance you feel that you are... more

My husband and I stayed in the Headlands for two nights over the Easter weekend. While we agree with many of the reviewers in that the decor is somewhat dated, that was part of its charm and we absolutely loved the place. The views were fantastic, the staff friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and warm, the bed comfy and... more

I stayed at the Headlands with my husband last week and we had an absolutely fabulous time. I guess it always helps when you get some nice weather after the winter we've had, but I'm sure the Headlands is always spectacular. We could not fault the food, service, location and cleanliness of the hotel and restaurant. The room was very... more

We decided to take a short break to Cornwall at short notice and chose Headlands as our base. We would agree that the outside of the building could do with some attention and the interior decor is dated. However, the welcome we received could not have been better. The staff were always pleasant and cheerful, the service was very good,... more

We had a short break at the Headlands earlier this year and will definitely be going back!! We found the views amazing. The service of the owners and staff was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. Our family room was spacious, comfortable and clean with dual aspect views, we could hear the sea from our beds which was fantantic.... more

Headlands has everything a hotel needs in this outstanding location. Clean, basic, a bit outdated, but a wonderful base for coastal walks. Checkout your priorities before booking though and don't make the mistake of booking a hotel which doesn't meet your priorities. You don't get an outstanding location like this with Hilton facilities at this excellent value price. Luxury hotels... more

My husband and I have just returned from a weekend break at The Headlands Hotel. It is agreed with other reviews that the hotel cold do with updating. However, please do not let that put you off. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The owners Chris and Anna are very accomodating and friendly. The food is exceptional and reasonably... more
