I recently stayed at the Ponderosa Hotel(or is it B&B?) in St Ives. Despite the fact we didnt book, we still had a lovely room with a huge bay window and a view of the sea. The rooms are clean, nicely presented and with adequate space. The couple who run it are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and they even let us haggle a £4 discount! Breakfast was lovely and I would recommend it to anyone travelling to St Ives.

St Ives itself is petty and quaint, but to eat out there is very expensive. The average glass if wine is about £4.50, and you will be hard pushed to find a dish for under £10. The restaurants along the front are the most expensive, we paid £12 for lasagne!
