My husband booked us 2 nights at Reids for my Birthday. We arrived earlier than the check in time and rang Christine who was very nice and let us check in early. Although there is no car park near the house, if you go back top of the hill above the tate gallery you could park there it cost around £5 for 24h I think. But make sure you use the long term car park as there is one near by for season ticket holder only so be aware. The house was very nice, lovely decor, our room was very pretty and very cosy. Christine and Stephen the owner were the friendless people we ever meet, they really made us welcome in their house. The location was perfect, closed to the cobble street and minute away from the harbour and the lovely Seafood cafe restaurant which we recommend. The breakfast served back at the B&B was truly delicious we have not ate so much we were spoiled really, from a selection of cereals, lovely cooked breakfast and croissant...yes all that.
Overall the house, the room...

After travelling from the other side of the globe for a special anniversary, very annoyed that things are not what it was led to be. Visiting St.Ives some forty years previous on honeymoon,we thought a nostalgic stay in St.Ives , but knowing of the parking we were assured that there is parking available. Little did we know that the parking was a fair way up the street in a public car park and not on the premises as 'assumed'. Hopeless situation trying to find aplace to park here. Then when you do find a vacant space in a car park, pay for three hours parking, return to find your vehicle clamped out of time ,AFTER JUST TWO HOURS. It appears you can only buy one,two or four hours not THREE. Just 75pounds later we were on our way out of St.Ives, had to forego our payment of 80 pounds for the one night, sorry not good way to treat tourists, bad public relations. Had we been informed of the parking problems in St.Ives,I know we would have chose somewhere else
