A friend and I stayed at the Tinners Arms in mid February during a short walking holiday. After a hard days slog we arrived around 5:00pm to find one of the best pubs I have visited. The pub is not modern, doesn't have TV, music, games machines or any of the modern day "attractions" and best of all - mobile... more

I am sorry to hear you found the accommodation at The White House noisy. This is somewhat surprising as the rooms are in a building some distance from the pub and most guests comment on how quiet it is at night due to the absence of traffic. You stayed on a Sunday when the Pub shuts at 10.30pm so you...

We stayed at this B&B attached to the Tinner's Arms pub for one night and felt like we had really got away from it all.
