This is a very handsome house with beautiful rooms full of antiques. We were greeted in a friendly fashion and shown to our room. The decor was lovely and the room was a good size as was the bathroom. The bed was was not good and neither were the pillows. It was a long way from the harbour, all down... More

These guests did not pre book their stay with us and arrived on spec, I feel that the concerns that they expressed in this review need to be addressed. We are not centrally located but it is only a 15 minute walk to the ''main area'' and we do not try to hide this fact. We have the added benefit... More

My husband and I stayed at the Old Vicarage for 2 nights recently. A very friendly atmosphere with access to a common lounge and bar. Our room was very comfortable with super heating. Delicious full English breakfast awaited us each morning - in fact, there was a choice of 3 different ones. There is ample parking on site - a... More

I have been staying at the Old Vicarage many times, so for me it is more like a home than a hotel ! But I think people who come for the first time must feel the same. It is so friendly and warm ! The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The Victorian bar very inviting and the English breakfast... More

The Old Vicarage is a superb building restored by the present proprietors' father, Jack. It stands in wooded gardens on the western edge of St Ives. An excellent family run small hotel, decorated in a style appropriate to the building. We returned for a short visit after a break of nearly 20 years and found it as excellent as ever.Everything... I've been staying at the Old Vicarage for years. It's a charming hotel tucked away unexpectedly towards the top end of St Ives and packed with period features and warm welcomes. I much prefer staying here than in the more run of the mill B&Bs elsewhere in St Ives. Rooms are clean and warm. The bar is all dark polished... More

The Old Vicarage is one of the most attractive places I've stayed in: a gracious and spacious house in a beautiful garden. It's ten minutes uphill on foot from the town centre but we enjoy the walk. The welcome is warm, the rooms spotless, the beds comfortable, the breakfast first rate. I recommend the smoked haddock. My number one requirement... More

What a delightful place to stay. The welcome was warm, the room was comfortable and both the room and the shower were beautifully clean. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the waitress was extremely kind and helpful. The property is a good 10 minute walk from town but there are buses and taxis! I am looking forward to... Our first visit to The Old Vicarage was some forty years ago after which we returned many times. It was a delight therefore, when planning a visit to St. Ives for October this year to see that it was still being run by the same family and we had no hesitation in booking a four night stay. Tucked away on... More

This is a beautiful B&B. Gorgeous building, tastefully decorated with period pieces. Spotlessly clean and in a great location. There is a lounge room, sitting room and dining room for guests, all comfortable and inviting. Plenty of on site parking, just 2 minutes up the road from the village of St Ives. The breakfasts were fantastic, fresh fruit, yoghurt, and... More
