Late in the afternoon I hastily agreed to the cost of £70 for a B&B room for 2 but afterwards constantly thought I had been ripped off because this was the only place with vacancies we could find anywhere around St Ives. I now see from their website this is the normal charge for a night in September. We didn't... more

On arrival at the hotel, we were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. When shown up to our room we found it to be very clean and tidy with fantastic sea views, television, tea/coffee making facilities and small fridge for drinks. We were only due to stay 3 days but ended up satying an extra couple of days. Staff were... more

This is a hotel for those who want an inexpensive stay in an out-of-town centre. The rooms all have shower, tv, tea/coffee and are clean, though some are bigger than others and some have a great view over the bay towards Hayle. It's what it says, a clean and basic, convenient sleepover which is a short walk from St Ives... more

The exterior of the hotel was not much to shout about and "back packers welcome" gave us a warning that it was not going to be 5 star material.... more

What an absolute disappointment, in fact, what a horrid place. Shabby, un-clean and smelly. Our room was damp and so small you couldn't move. The heating did not work and the room was freezing (didn't fancy getting the extra blanket out as it stank so slept in coat). No evening meal on a Saturday and dogs (two) fighting in the... more

My husband and two small children stayed in this hotel for a mini-break to Cornwall, mainly because many places will not rent their properties for less than a week. We were pleased when we pulled up as it looked very nice from the outside and was close to St. Ives city centre. The family room worked well for the four... more

Have just returned from a 5 day stay at the above hotel.the hotel from the outside looks O.K., but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. We booked three double rooms, which were very small, the shower room (no bath) was even smaller. No hooks to hang anything up, nowhere to put any toiletries, except on the toilet cistern, also a... more
