We stayed for two nights, just a weekend away with my partner. The rooms were lovely and towels and bedding were clean. Complementary tea/coffe and shampoo etc were very nice. The breakfast was amazing, enough to keep you full for the day, all local produce. They offer a good evening meal, they have a resturant but the bar area was... more

Stayed for 5 nights. The rooms were comfortable - our double had a sea view. The stairs to the rooms upstairs are steep but otherwise no problem. Adrian and his family made us most welcome and were very friendly. The breakfasts were lavish in quantity and excellent in quality - the bacon in particular is delicious. We had no trouble... more

This pub was always so good, we always went there during a visit to Cornwall. But this year from the moment we entered we knew it must of changed ownership - the place was dead. My meal was awful the worst I can remember having. Do not go there !!!! more

A traditional Inn, accommodation is simply furnished but spotless, comfortable bed nice linen and towels. The Staff were really friendly & helpful, the food was excellent, must mention the steaks, pork and sausage, all first class. Unlike the prior comment we were offered breakfast at a time of our choosing and it was a feast of quality local produce, it... more

We stayed here for just one night, but any more would have been too much. It has comfortable bed and clean sheets and towels BUT the room was very small and cramped. So cramped that the bathroom didn't have a proper door and so low ceilinged that no man over the size of 5ft (and that is being liberal) could... more

After e-mailing and giving payment details by telephone, we arrived after a long journey to be told they had no record of our booking for three nights B&B and evening dinner. They could accommodate us for the Friday and Sunday but not the Saturday. This was a total disappointment to be told we had nowhere to stay at the beginning... more

We've just come back from an incredible meal here and having read some of the comments below I had to comment because I'd totally disagree with what they said about the place. To start with the landlord was doing a good job of talking to his regulars in the small bar to the front of the inn while still serving... more

We felt soory for the lady who was waiting on the tables by her self, whilst the owner stayed at the bar and drank. The Pat'e was not set properly, it was runny, could of done with a bit more toast. The Sticky Toffe pudding was very poor and the sauce, was warmed up cream with toffee flavour. The bar... more

This place is brilliant! A lovely, family run b&b with clean, well maintained rooms and extremely friendly staff. Our room on the 3rd floor had the most amazing views to the sea and with only a few cars going by, the only noise you could hear most of the time was bird song. The food was also brilliant. Lovely breakfast... more

Clean, reasonably sized room. Very comfy bed. Good view down the valley. Tiny bar, very cosy, great fun when the local musicians play on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Food is way above average for a pub, and well-priced. Breakfast very impressive - no need for lunch. Not keen on the saloon-style doors into the en-suite toilet/shower. Perhaps I'm prudish but a... more
