We stayed at Holbrooke Farm after a very wet couple of days in a tent, so were looking forward to a shower and a 'proper' bed. We weren't disapointed as Heather was very welcoming and the room was lovely - a real home from home with lovely personal touches, comfy beds, pretty decor, a generous sized ensuite shower room, big fluffy towels, TV, tea, coffee & biscuits and very clean. (Really important!) There was also an information folder in the room with the numbers & details of menus of local pubs and restaurants which came in useful.

It would have been very difficult to find the farm without a 'sat nav' as Holbrooke farm is tucked away in the middle of rural Devon with gorgeous views on all sides. But once on the road to Holbrooke, it is well signposted and the website offers good directions. Heather and Di were very welcoming, but didn't interfere with us and we were allowed to come and go as we pleased with our own key. There was none of the usual 'Must Not...Do... more
