e booked this hotel as a birthday treat, the hotel itself was very dark, the restaurant was decorated in very dark colours, the room was far too hot resulting in a not so very good nights sleep, even with the window open ! The air conditioning was too noisy to switch on.

We stayed for just one night whilst returning my daughter to university and cannot say enough positive things about our experience. The title probably says it all. We stayed last Friday night and got an excellent deal with Bookings.com (£56 for a double room, no breakfast). The room was a little tatty but still value for money. We had breakfast in a great little cafe by the cathedral (21 Cathedral Walk, or something similar...) - about 10 minutes walk.

Lovely hotel situated only 2 mins walk from shopping/restaurants.
Booked a privelage room which was well worth the extras - very comfortable , big bed, robes, decor & walk in shower. Didnt get the daily newspaper or coffee machine in room but guess you have to ask for those at reception like you do the free wifi code even though...

I had a wonderful few days at this hotel, which I have stayed at many times over the last twenty years. It is lovely to revisit a hotel whose swimming pool and gym are consistently the same and the style of the accommodations although redecorated are still comfortable although I did find the heating in the bedroom a little chilly....
