I write this review after a most disappointing 2 nights in your hotel: • Dingy room that is tired and spartan • Bed that is lumpy and totally unsupportive • Breakfast pack grossly overpriced - snack bar is sickly for breakfast - nothing fresh • Hall light missing cover and bedside shades discoloured - 2 bulbs don't work in room... more

Room was basic, old and in serious need of redecorating. Room wasn't clean - arrived and bed sheets hadn't been changed and could see a line around the floor the hoover never reaches, among other things. Bathroom dated, no ventiliation so mould appearing. The "light" breakfast was advertised as Muesli, flapjack and fruit smoothie but turned out to be cornflakes,... more

No such thing as a room with 2 beds. The best you can get is a sofa that doubles as a second bed. There is 2 plastic cups, a bar of soap and a chair that even IKEA would call cheap. There is no telephone to call the lobby, no air conditioner, no alarm clock. Internet is £5 per 60... more

I booked this hotel just a few days before visiting online, getting a family room for £55 for one night. Also had a optional extra breakfast added on for £4.10. The hotel is not easiest to get too if you're not travelling by car, the best bet is to get the train too Digby and Sowton (get a train from... more

This is the first of the two Travelodges we stayed during our recent self-drive holiday in England and Scotland. Although it is located next to M5, I think I would not be able to find it the first time round if not for the Personal Navigation Device I brought along. There were many exits at the round-about and you have... more

Room spacious and clean. Everything that you required. Noisy as our room literally next to M5 . Needed to be close to Sidmouth. Staff extremely polite, curteous and helpful. Restaurant next door. Functional, would stay again definately. more

Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting my neice at Exeter University. Everything was adequate for what I paid. Yes it is quite close to the motorway, but isn't this the purpose of a Travelodge - somewhere to just use as a convenience en route. There's no bar or disco within the grounds, hence there's no loud drunks... more

I stayed at the Exeter Travelodge after attending a late dinner meeting in Exeter. It is easy to reach from the motorway and the city centre. The room was really quite dirty. Although the sheets were clean, the carpet had not been properly vacuumed, the net curtains were really stained, the room smelt musty, the walls were splattered with something... more

The hotel is located at the services on the M5 and is close to the motorway. The road is very busy and even with the double glazing the noise is evident. The rooms are clean and the location is what is expected. There are rabbits living on the grass outside the hotel. These are interesting as they are huge. There... more

The Exeter Travelodge is located at the Sandygate M5 services; along with a Harry Ramsden restaurant (they share the same car park and entrance), M&S Simply Food and a MOTO service area with the usual fast food, WHSmith, fuel, etc. Location was fantastic as was working in the nearby Sowton Industrial Estate and easy to navigate back from the nearby... more
