I recently stayed at this hotel and the rooms and bathroom are fairly standard and ok. In the morning I had arranged to have breakfast 1/4 of an hour earlier and when I got downstairs and receptionist took my order but just left me sitting there. She obviously didn't have the slightest intention of arranging any breakfast for me but... more

As our daughter is at Exeter Uni we have had several overnight stays in the city, all disappointing, but the last time I came to pick her up, we tried The Olive Tree restaurant in The Queens Court Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it, so we decided to stay here this weekend. We had a standard double room, which was clean... more

I do not think my expectations of a hgotel in Exeter were high so I avoided the cheapest and the chain hotels that I remember being run down even a decade ago last time a came. The pictures looked pleasant and I knew the location was good. This is an old building with creaky floorboards like so many others in... more

I stayed in the hotel for the bank holiday weekend. Friendly efficient staff. Reservation and booking all went smoothly. Centrally located 5-10 minutes from both St David's and Central stations, 5 minutes from the High Street. The double room I had was large, a light, modern décor, comfortable if small single beds. Modern multi-channel television, tea and coffee, biscuits, bottled... more

We took a leisure break with friends and overall enjoyed our stay. Bedrooms were very clean and nicely decorated. Our bed was extremely comfortable, although our friends' room was on a slanting floor that made for a slanting bed angle! No air con, though, and the rooms were too hot and stuffy at night. The hotel is nicely decorated thoughout,... more

Perfect hotel. Totally agree with other reviews. Lovely, bright, clean, and comfortable room. Our standard room overlooked the quiet square. All the staff were polite, welcoming and very helpful. They served one of the best breakfasts we have eaten in a hotel. Catered for our vegetarian/vegan requirements, supplying soya milk and lots of non meat choices: muesli, cereals, fresh melon... more

I fumbled my way up the stairs and into my second floor room given that the eco-lights had switched themselves off and that there were no obvious light switches to turn them back on with. The room was small but clean with an en-suite and a slanting floor(!). There was Freeview as well as Wi-Fi although the Wi-Fi was via... more

This is a gem of a hotel. My wife and I stayed here for a family funeral. The hotel is situated in a quiet square within easy walking distance of the city centre. There is a car park in the square for which the hotel give you a free ticket for overnight parking (4,00pm, until 10.00am), The hotel is a... more

Stayed here for one night in a twin bed room. the beds were comfortable, however my bed was on a slant so i had to wedge a pillow under the mattress to even it out. the beds had sheets and blankets. The rooms are pleasant, with TV, kettle, sachets of tea, coffee etc.The bathroom looked good however the shower was... more

I'd agree with the reviews below; it was a good choice for us, visiting our son at the nearby university (about 1 mile). Quiet location despite being so central. We arrived about 8pm Saturday evening and there was no room in the car park oppostie but we found a spot in a nearby road, at no charge until 11am on... more
