Really small room, no luggage rack or closet, itty-bitty bathroom, queen bed filled most of the room. The hotel must not be more than 30 feet (10m) wide. There is little or no parking and if you can't get in their lot, good luck finding a place on the street. Breakfast area is in basement and cramped. I'm not sure... more

We stayed at Silversprings for one night. Arriving by train at Exeter St Davids it was quite a steep walk to the property however once there we found it to be very clean, beautifully decorated and with very helpful staff who carried our bags up the stairs as our room was on the top floor. The room was spacious, had... more

We booked to stay for a few days, but then had to cancel our overseas trip from Australia completely due to a serious illness in the family. Everywhere else - not a problem. Other places could have charged the full expected cost of the stay but chose not to given the circumstances... this place stuck to its policy and hit... more

My husband and I just returned from a 3 night stay at Silversprings. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make our stay a great one. We were offered tea, coffee and biscuits upon our arrival. Our room (a deluxe double) was very spacious and well decorated. The staff left complimentary wine and chocolates... more

Lovely hotel within walking distance of Exeter centre ... very clean with comfortable beds, beautiful decor and friendly service. Lots of lovely extras in room to make stay more comfortable such as chocolates and small bottle wine etc ! Choice of hot or cold breakfast (including kippers and haddock!) all freshly cooked to order - perfect. The only downside was... more

The rooms are very comfortable with thoughtful extra touches. It is probably the cleanest establishment I have ever visited. I went out of my way to search for dust and came back empty handed. They aim to please at breakfast and there is a large choice. Portions are on the small side, but that was fine for me. Everything in... more

After researching the hotel on the website and then TripAdvisor we decided to book a room. We stayed in March for 6 days. From the moment we arrived until we left we experienced fantastic service from the staff. All of the extra touches like coffee and cookies on arrival an again while we were just relaxing one afternoon. The room... more

An excellent little hotel, lovely rooms, all individually furnished with great little touches like bathrobes, good quality toiletries, hairdryer, free dvd's etc. The food and service was first rate and the general atmosphere very relaxing. Silversprings is very conveniently located, only 10 minutes walk away from the cathedral, shops, nightlife, whatever you're after really! I really enjoyed my stay, as... more

My first experience of the hotel came via its website. It looked very much like a boutique hotel but without the exorbitant costs usually involved. The rooms looked plush and they made a specific point about giving those extra touches which I felt need further investigation. I usually stay at 4 or 5 star hotels and so I am very... more
