We only stayed for one night but were made very welcome by John and Serge. Our room was extreemly comfortable and the breakfast of the highest quality. We had dinner the first evening and it was delicious. We enjoyed the in room movies and the chocs by the bed. A lovely friendly place to stay in a lovely location very... more

I booked a two nights accomodation at this guest house for my parents. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The welcoming atmosphere, excellent decor and fine food were major plus points. They found location to be a little remote but a good base for exploring the surrounding area. This guest house is highly recommended. more

We stayed for one night and it is by the far the best B&B we have stayed in. You are made to feel like you are staying in a friend's house by the most fantastic hosts. We only had breakfast but will be back soon for dinner. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and made with fresh local produce. The prices... more

The night prior to our arrival at Moorstone Guesthouse we had stayed in a small hotel in Newton Abbot. The two experiences could not have been more different. The first was an example of "How not to run a guesthouse" the second " how to make staying in a guesthouse a magical experience". John and Serge could not have been... more

My partner and I stayed unfortunately only for one night at this wonderful guest house! Wish I could have stayed there for months! The owner is very friendly and welcoming, and a gorgeous four legged friend is there to greet you too! I fell in love with this dog! So cute! The guest house feels cosy with traditional features, and... more

For our first wedding anniversary, we chose to stay at Moorstone for four nights after reading a very positive review and being impressed by the website. We booked our stay nearly two months in advance. We enquired at the time as to whether it was suitable for people without cars to stay there, given the remoteness of its setting. We... more

Moorstone was obviously not not the right place for you... I understand that you came here for your wedding anniversary to enjoy walks and sightseeing in the beauty of dartmoor national park...by train and stilleto shoes...and for a "cheap price"...Interesting...!!! ...Bridford being a small Devonian village with all the charms of the countryside, but not the glitz of London... We...

I stayed at Moorstone for a friend's wedding - it's a shame that we couldn't have spent more time in the local area as it looked lovely. We were greeted with a warm welcome that extended throughout our stay. Breakfasts were really good, particularly eating outside if it's sunny and enjoying the lovely view from the front garden. Rooms are... more

I highly recommend Moorstone. It is in an excellent location with many walking possibilities right on the doorstep. The room we stayed in was large and beautifully decorated in a contemporary style. The bed was also extremely comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and made sure we got the most from our stay with useful advice and suggestions.... more

We stayed at this guest house for 2 nights at the weekend. Rooms cost £55-65 pounds per night and are very chic, clean and comfortable. Food is absolutely stunning. They have locals visiting during the evening for dinner so you do have to book (it's that good). The owners are very friendly, it's a short trip into the city of... more
