I stayed at the Old Inn Drewsteignton, Devon, for 2 weeks in May '08. The accommodation was First Class, the beds are extremely comfortable (like the best American hotels), yet it has all the charm and character that I was hoping for of Dartmoor without any of the chintz. We stayed here on Saturday the 23rd June, we received a really warm welcome on arrival, the room was very comfortable with everything you would expect at a country B & B, the village is delightful with a pub were we had an excellent meal.
