If you want a taste of great hospitality, peaceful relaxing atmosphere and a wonderful location then you can't go wrong with this small and charming, award winning bed and breakfast which we have returned to year after year and can highly recommend. Situated in the small but delightful town of Lynton and only a few minutes walk from the cliff railway, which... more

Victoria Lodge is an exceptional Guest House and our short stay was perfect from start to finish. On arriving at the earliest possible booking in time (2.30pm) we were greeted by the wonderful Jacqui and from then on we were her guests and nothing was too much trouble. Jacqui immediately made us a very refreshing cup of tea served in... more

An outstanding place to stay with exceptional hospitality. We felt relaxed and pampered from the moment we arrived, greeted warmly at the front door by Jacqueline who knew our names and was clearly expecting us. Tea and biscuits followed in one of the charming Victorian reception rooms which are exclusively for guests to enjoy, while Jacqueline ensured that we had... more

Warm and exceptional hospitality. The owner personally met our family of seven and made all of us feel so welcome after a very long journey from Asia. The rooms were beautifully detailed, clean and fresh-smelling. A pot of tea, a decanter of sherry and fine chocolates all set aside for us as we settled into our much-awaited rest. The best... more

A haven of peace, a sweet-smelling jewel of Victorian charm with almost mystical healing powers, Victoria Lodge is so much more than a base from which to explore the loveliness of Lynton or a sunny space in which to warm bones gone chilly after hours of hiking Exmoor. The rooms are lovely, and two lounges offer cozy, sunny spots for... more

An impressive Victorian B&B, very comfortable and smartly decorated , plus great breakfasts too. Its really quiet , yet in the heart of the village. So if you want to treat yourself or chill , it gets my vote. My only regret is I wish I stayed longer. Lynton is a very charming village , with many breathtaking walks along the... more

Rooms were beautiful, comfortable and very clean. We have never experienced such a wide choice of breakfasts, all beautifully cooked. The owner was extremely hospitable and friendly as were the staff. We consider ourselves "hard to please" but honestly could not fault our stay. We will certainly be back. A big thank you from Paul and Vivienne. Liverpool more

I'd previously stayed at Victoria Lodge when Ben and Jane owned it so was a little trepidatious when I knew that it had a new owner. However, I should not have worried, the excellent standards set previously have been maintained, with great hospitality, comfortable well equipped rooms and a magnificent breakfast. more

We stayed at Victoria Lodge for a week in September 2006. This is a magnificent place to stay if you want quality, cleanliness and that touch of something special. We usually stay in good quality hotels and this is our first ever experience of staying in bed & breakfast accomodation. The standard of this accomodation knocks spots off many of... more

Lynton lies 600 ft above the port of Lynmouth and you couldn’t ask for a better holiday. There’s plenty to do in both towns. My favourites were the old cable railway from Lynmouth to Lynton and the coastal path among the purple heather and the yellow gorse. From the path you wonder how the wild goats manage to get a... more
