We chose to spend our 25th wedding anniversary at the Highcliffe Hotel because it is located in a part of Devon we have never visited before. We stayed 3 nights in a very tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable bedroom. There was a very generously sized ensuite which was immaculate. The bathroom was stocked with good quality toiletries for those who would... more

then look no further. This is, indeed, a lovely B&B. My husband and I stayed for five nights. But despite the lovely room, we well and truly looked forward to our day of departure. Note to proprietors: stick Mike in the kitchen and bring Karen out to greet the guests and sprinkle her camaraderie and sweet personality around the place.... more

We stayed at Highcliffe House for a long weekend and can safely say the B&B was just gorgeous. Our room was lovely, with great view overlooking the sea and cliffs. and the bathroom was fantatsic and all so clean and well kept. We were treated to a complementary pot of tea and scone when we arrived sitting in the window... more

There are many choices of lodging along the coast of Exmoor National Park. After a lot of research, I chose Highcliffe House. It seemed a cut above the rest and I was not disappointed. What stands out in my memory is the loveliness of the interiors. Very tastefully done and done to beautiful effect. The two lounges are very attractive... more

This was our third visit to highcliffe house, and it just gets better everytime. The hosts Karen & Micheal always offer a warm welcome, our room was spotlessly clean, warm and very well furnished. The food is second to none. We will be returning later in the year. North Devon has some stunning countryside, with plenty to do. more

this bed and breakfast is a gem; the rooms are wonderful; obviously decorated with an eye for detail in keeping with the grandeur of the rooms. everything was spotlessly clean and there was not one thing to fault. the breakfasts were of the highest quality and cooked to perfection. we loved little touches like the up to date magazines and... more

We stayed three lovely nights in this B&B with fantastic views over the Bristol Channel. The weather was not brilliant but this is the perfect base for walking through Exmoor National Park. We stayed in the Cleaves (picture attached), which had the most beautiful bed. The room was also very spacious, including a sofa in front of the TV. Good... more

We have just returned from a short break at Highcliffe house, a fabulous guest house. The quality and service were both excellent and Karen & Michael are super hosts. I would highly recommend this establishment. more

We have just stayed at Highcliffe House, for the second time in less than 9 months. We will always keep returning to this little gem, because the owners are friendly, kind, informative, and quite clearly proud of their business. Our last visit was mid-week, so Karen's superb fayre was limited to breakfast, but this was a creative and well-above standard... more
