Given a warm welcome on arrival and an insight into the local area. The room was very clean and comfortable with some nice finishing touches. Impressive array of choices for breakfast with the food being fresh and tasty. Nothing too much trouble for the hosts. Had a lovely weekend and would highly recommend a stay here. More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Southcliffe. From a walkers perspective the location is ideal - bus stop to points further along path outside, good drying facilities, lot of maps and guidebooks in the lounge etc. Vey friendly and informative hosts, Very clean and great breakfast with plenty of choice. Good value at the price. I would also recommend the... More

We have been holidaying at Lynton for a number of years, having stayed at two B & Bs during that time. We decided to change our B & B as the previous owners had sold it. Having looked at Southcliffe's web site and read their blog we felt that Southcliffe would be very suitable. We were not disappointed! We received... More

We have just returned from a short break (2 nights) at Southcliffe and were very impressed with every aspect of our visit. From our initial phone call to our farewells we couldn't have asked for better or friendlier service. Sue and Andy are very good at making everyone feel at ease while providing a first class service. Rooms are very... More

We have stayed at 5 star Hotels and Cruised with the best of liners, but to find a bed and breakfast that equals them is a joy. Andy and Sue have a wonderful guest house with the empthsis on "guests". Nothing is to much trouble, it is spotlessly clean and very homely, there are also some nice little touches that... More

We don't usually book guest houses but I had seen an article on Southcliffe in a travel magazine and as result decided to give a B&B a try. Very accommodating, friendly, helpful and welcoming hosts. Spotlessly clean and lots of attention to detail. Breakfast was delicious and it was lovely to have lots of choice, especially for someone who does... More

Sue and Andy gave us such a warm welcome with a pot of tea and homemade cake on arrival with lots of useful information. The rooms are spotless and the breakfast is excellent. Sue makes a delicious Granola while Andy cooks a great traditional breakfast! Sue and Andy are excellent hosts and we would thoroughly recommend Southcliffe. More
