We stayed for 3 nights on a DB&B basis in Room 2. It was very spaciious and comfortably furnished with two easy chairs looking over the sea. What a view! Was a bit nervous about choosing a hotel for this holiday, as I'd picked a real disaster last time. Needn't have worried! Very welcoming, relaxed but efficient in lovely old building. Huge bedroom with comfortable carved 4-poster, well appointed bathroom; sea view to die for. Food superb - unexpected in such an out-of-the-way spot. Ample for all but the greediest.... more

Recently visited this hotel. Was quoted £68 per night bed, breakfast and evening meal - when bill came had actually been charged £75 per night! Lovely hotel with a great view once you have braved driving up the hairpin bends from Lynmouth to Lynton.
