Stayed for week-end in March 2013, have stayed before and were not disappointed. Room and bathroom very clean and cosy. Made welcome on arrival , excellent breakfasts and thoughtfully provided with warm croissants on second day as well. Bed very comfortable and slept well. Hotel well placed on north side of Plymouth with good parking and near to many places... More

We had a comfortable night at this hotel, although we thought it was not great value for money at £68 per night. We had a twin room, and although the beds were comfortable, for this price we felt the single beds a little small. The staff were very friendly & helpful, and the breakfast was freshly cooked & very tasty.

I am a little bit late writing this review! My mum, my son and myself travelled from South Wales and stayed at the hotel last summer 2012 as it was close to a family wedding venue. The hosts were extremely helpful with advice on how to get to the church and giving us a lift to the reception venue. We... More

We booked to stay for just one night as a last minute booking. We arrived after a five hour drive, as we pulled into the car park and with some trepidation got out of the car. The front of the hotel looked very run down, granted it was chucking it down with rain so that did not help it. The... More

We have eaten here on several occasions in the past few years (2010-12) and would genuinely recommend this small, friendly and convenient hotel on the outskirts of Plymouth. Accommodation - Family have stayed here and the rooms are well equipped, clean and pleasant. Location - Whilst it is on the Tavistock Road North of Plymouth, you will not be disturbed... More

The picture of the hotel must have been taken long ago as this is not how it appears today. The room was too small with a postered bed - brass and old. The curtains were an inch too small and as the bed was next to the window, light poured through. The 'en suite' was a sliding door next to... More

From the outside we wondered how big a mistake we'd made by booking 2 nights at this 'hotel', Inside it's far more like a B&B than a hotel, however it does have a bar and serves evening meals if required hence the hotel status. Our double room was very clean, spacious, but somewhat dated regarding furniture and carpet. The bathroom... More

So the local '' cheap ? " motels where full but this place popped up on my search. Now the national brands wanted £59 for the night, room only. The Millstones on the other hand wanted £58 for the night, inc full English breakfast ( with many extras for fussy eaters ) free wifi and parking, along with a small... More

Easy to find and just outside of plymouth the millstones hotel feels like a home from home. Clean accomodating and the staff are like carlsberg - probably the best staff in thw world. Very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Great value for money. I use the hotel for business trips but would definitely use for a short family... More
