Five years ago I stayed in this City Centre hotel. How can things change in such a short time? The overall impression is of an institution struggling on the verge of financial collapse. Last minute booking arrived late, very disappointed and would def not return don't know when they got the 4th star but must not have been reviewed since the 70's, over priced with dated bathroom and decor towels felt like they had been startched ! breakfast very average not worth the money more

At less than £50 a night this hotel represents very good value for money. Staff were friendly and efficient. Hotel is a bit tired and could do with an update, but at the price cannot complain. more

We stayed on a Sunday night - great to be able to park on site but that is where the positives stop....
