After reviewing the comments of the owners, on negative comments from guests, it would suggest to me that this is something that Basil Faulty would do and not address the issues complained about? I certainly am deterred from booking any stay here, just because of the aggressive attitude of the owners when criticism is cast their way. I might add,... more

I came to plymouth for the weekend with my partner and our 2 children. Its a very cosy place with lots of character. The staff were very pleasant and made our stay very comfortable. Very good place to stay. Its literally 2mins from the city centre, where all the shops are. Then in the evening when you want to eat,... more

Location good, easy walk from Hoe, Barbican and Town. A little uneasy due to the youth centre next door and finding groups of youths hanging about. We had no problem. Car parking, there is room for 4 cars failing that parking on nearby roads free from 18.00 – 1000 then £1 an hour maximum 4 hours. Premises looks clean and... more

This gentleman and his family as stated stayed at our hotel as stated however some of his facts are totally inaccurate 1)Parking in this area is difficult as is with all hotels here however we have 6 parking spaces not 4 as reported but as such we have 6 more than most of the hotels here 2)Mini bars, licencing etc...

Stayed here for one night on my way through to Cornwall. It was clean and comfortable with friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast. The facilities were basic but perfectly adequate, and I had everything I expected for my money. The hotel is in an ideal location. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. more

This hotel is a bit like staying a night or two at your Nanna's house. Comfortable, floral and friendly, but the sheets didnt fit the bed and came off during the night, and the shower was a mysteriously English contraption boasting neither form nor function. Think that it was probably pretty poor value for money. We booked here on the... more

The owners and management of the Sunray Hotel find this review offensive and libelous by suggesting that reviews made about this hotel on this site and others are not genuine. To suggest this is not only accusing review sites like Trip Advisor are none genuine but also demean the good action of all genuine reviewers. This reviewer was obviously unhappy...

I stayed in room number 7 at the Sunray Hotel for 3 weeks, arriving back in the USA the 17th of september. I found the Sunray to be a charming little hotel with a friendly staff. I heartily recommend it to anyone staying in Plymouth! My room was bright and airy, food was delicious, and drinks downstairs in the lounge... more

The service we received could not be faulted. Nothing was too much for them, all we had to do was ask and if it was in there power it was done. We would certainly go back. more

Found the Sunray hotel quickly and easily on the internet. Visited while travelling through the area on business. Being both new to my job and quite new to the area I was feeling somewhat wary of the travel but found that Bob and Jackie made my stay enjoyable and comfortable. With a spacious room and excellent facilities, especially the bar,... more
