In Plymouth recently I stayed,on a friend's recommondation, at The Mountbatten Hotel. I found a friendly, family run hotel in a peaceful, quiet location with a delightful view over the park. A group of us took over 3 rooms here for 2 nights. We are divers so it was ideally located for the Sports centre where you can moor your boat. The room we had was reminiscent of a Travelodge or something of the sort. The beds were comfortable, had duvets not blankets and there was SkyTV and tea and coffee... more

Spent a very happy week at this hotel. The rooms were clean, the breakfast great and the owners friendly. Certainly don't agree with Kundalini's review. "Fleas" ? I certainly saw no such thing. If there were fleas, why did he/she stay a second night ? Very strange. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on that one.... more

We intended only to stay one night in this hotel but ended up staying for more than a week!
