Visited on a business trip and was not disapointed at all due to being run solely by the owner it is clear she has the passion to make it perfect for your needs, good quality breakfasts and idealy suited to have a 3min walk into the main restaurant area of the barbican. all linen of great quality for a b+b... Try here first! We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Acorns and Lawns. Parking was easy and free; Position was perfect....walk to town, Hoe, Barbican area, Theatre Royal; Quiet area; Nothing too much trouble for our host; Quality breakfast; En suite shower was luxurious; Clean, minimalist decor throughout. Thank-you to Paula for all that you did both... More

Not the norm in my experience so this made us feel very happy we'd chosen the right place. Upon arrival, Paula greeted us like we were old friends... More

Room was really clean and fresh... the en suite room was spotless and in new condition, much better than alot of hotels we've stayed in. We had our nice breakfast in bright bay windowed room facing the park on the Hoe. Paula was really helpful and... More

Booked on the basis of other reviews on this site & they weren't wrong! The rooms were very clean & comfortable (although personally I would have liked a unit or something for the tea/coffee away from the bed so that a second reading light could be made available). The quality of the breakfast was second to none, Paula only uses... More

Ourselves and another couple booked ahead for Acorns and Lawns and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Decor of the rooms are contemporary and spotlessly clean, The Breakfast was excellent and well cooked and was served in a pleasant and polite manner. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for Paula who made us feel at home straight away. More
