We had our wedding reception at Boringdon Hall in August 2009. We could not fault the hotel or its staff. The historic setting provided a perfect backdrop for the day and the marquee looked wonderful at night. Most of our wedding guests stayed at the hotel (many for several nights) and they were all impressed. We’d like to thank the... more

Our room was DAMP! Damp sheets. Damp bedding, damp curtains, damp carpet damp walls in the room and hallway! NOT GOOD. The breakfast arrived COLD. There was a wedding one night and the guest were loud and disturbing. Oh, and whatever happened to the poor wedding party that ordered the Hog Roast only to be told the night before that... more

This is a unique place to stay and the public areas of the hotel are simply stunning. It's your hotel which does well with wedding and corporate clients. My room was a fair size and had a nice big TV. The only comment was a slight musty smell... but not big enough to cause complaint. The hotel is located in... more

I stayed at this hotel overnight a couple of weeks ago and it was not an experience I wish to repeat! We had no hot water in the morning which meant my husband and I had to have a cold shower and my young children couldn't have the bath they so desperately wanted to have.I phoned the Reception desk about... more

I went on a coach trip to Boringdon Hall Hotel and it was a fabulous place for a murder! Lots of shopping on the way down and back added to a great trip. The Hall was very imposing and its history was very impressive. The rooms were fairly spacious and well appointed. The atmosphere built up nicely for a murder... more

We stayed for one night as we were attending a wedding party nearby. The Hall itself is very impressive with interesting pictures of important historical visitors adorn the walls. The room was adequate as was breakfast in the gallery. Great for wedding reception but can be rather noisy in the bar once the evening reception gets underway. Great place for... more

I went to a wedding in the marquee and so decided to stay overnight. Firstly I'll talk about the marquee. This is fantastic, well presented, lovely set out, tables, toilets and decor. It felt really special being in there. I had a three course meal as part of the wedding. The starter was a soup which was awful and tasted... more

Booked in as part of a wedding party. The location was excellent for the wedding. Unfortunately the stay was marred by the very noisy heating system all night. Probably got about 3 hours sleep. Had to leave early in the morning so paid the day before and was promised a Continental Breakfast. This turned out to be a pot of... more

went on a paranormal weekend to this beautiful historic hotel, though didn't experience any ghosts I did enjoy the hotel. Bedrooms were large, we were in the annexe, beautifully decorated and furnished. service and food excellent would recommend and I would certainly return. Though the hotel is very old it was very warm and welcoming. more

Stayed for 3 nights on business. Public areas and restaurant are lovely and it is steeped in history. Restaurant superb. However, bedroom basic and bathroom really not up to standard for a 3 star hotel. Loose and dirty trim round bath, shower temperature impossible to set to a constant level. TV did not work properly. more
