Stayed here for two nights over the last May bank holiday. Room was on the second floor. This hotel has no parking so if you are driving and staying during the day it can be expensive. If at night its more reasonable. Room was basic but comfortable. There were three adults in the family room - two on the double... more

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and paid £29 per night for the room. The room itself is highly basic, it doesn't have draws or a hair dryer and ours only had a mouldy shower and not a bath. However, we didn't complain as what did we expect for the price? The staff weren't exactly welcoming and our... more

The Travelodge Plymouth was fine for a simple overnight stay when going to see a show. As it is built directly over a nightclub I was curious to see how the noise effected the rooms. I was on the 2nd floor at the rear and though you could hear a slight thumping vibration, it was vague and no where near... more

We stayed here on Friday night and as I had read the previous reviews about noise I rang Travelodge Plymouth direct and asked for a quiet room, which they provided for us (top floor facing the back). Even though we had the windows closed, we did hear some street noise but not enough to really disturb us. We also heard... more

The Travelodge is a typical city centre Travelodge, and as I was there on a wet Monday night in winter it was delightfully quiet! Check in, the room etc all fine, however...what an area Derry's Cross is! Yes there are bars clubs and the like - and the only one with anyone in that night was Wetherspoons. But walking to... more

This hotel is described on their website as being 'located in the city centre on Derry's Cross roundabout' and also states that 'there are various restaurants, bars and clubs in the surrounding area'. These comments are a complete misrepresentation. In reality the roundabout is so busy that you would be unable to sleep comfortably even if the hotel weren't built... more

Stayed here for two weekday nights in August 2007. Check in was no problem with minimal fuss. I have heard people state that they can be waiting in a Q for over an hour to check in here but this was not the case for us. Fortunately we were on the top floor away from the noise that other reviews... more

I stayed with friends in a 'family room' on a Saturday night which we were advised had three separate beds. However this consisted of a double bed and a sofa that became two matresses which were so thin you might as well have slept on the floor and impossible to get any sleep on. This room was on the first... more

Normal standard clean but minimalist Travelodge. Good beds and power-shower. Much smaller room than I've had at almost all other travelodges though, non family room. I was on floor one out of three, there is a night club directly under the hotel which for most people is NOT a good thing! Now when I got into my room at 9pm... more

Just got back from a great stay at Travelodge Plymouth, had a great sized room on the top floor. Very clean bedroom and bathroom with superb shower, and bubbly water coming out of the taps (my girlfriend was amazed by the bubbly water!) Location is superb, we went to a Wetherspoon just down Union street and had a full english... more
