I agree with the previous reviewer that the outside looks a bit dank and miserable. A lick of paint is long overdue. But my worries were completely put aside when I went inside, and I enjoyed our 2 night stay immensely. The lounge areas are clean and comfortable, with big squashy couches. What a superb Inn! Set in the middle of Dartmoor with lovely walks on the doorstep. Really friendly landlord/landlady and staff. We were made to feel very welcome and socialised with other guests and their dogs, many of whom stayed there often. Spacious clean room, nicely fitted. Lovely leather Chesterfields to relax on in the friendly bar, which had good... more

We... more

The public rooms are spacious and comfortable with big leather sofas in the bar. Good beer. We stayed in a spacious family room, it had a... more

Two real ales on offer from Teignworthy brewery. Friendly and attentative staff. Very dog friendly. Downsides? The bar was rather tired and there was no real cider. Overall... more
