I stayed for 3 nights in Newton Abbot and chose the Queens hotel due to it's location to the customer I was visiting.
When I arrived I found the car park to be a little too small, but there was plenty of on road parking availalbe as long as you can arrive after 5pm leave before 10am. I had a friendly greeting at the front desk and the check in was quick and informative (reservation made on-line). I found my room and found it to be bright well aired and appeared to have been recently refurbished. The only downsides were a single but comfortable enough bed, as my budget would not stretch to a double, and even with the bedroom window closed the traffic from outside was a little noisy, so double or secondary glazing would be useful. There were 2 window blinds to keep the room dim in the bright morning, and the room also featured a quiet ceiling fan, and flatscreen TV with freeview.
The bathroom just had a shower and hand basin, but the shower was a power one and refreshing... more
