We stayed for 3 nights in a one bedroom self-catering apartment which is located inside the hotel complex, and was very comfortable and a good size for 3 people. Another enjoyable weekend in Torquay! We try to get away for a few days around Easter every year and one of the TLH hotels is always our destination. The staff were great and the food was lovely however The Victoria Hotel does need some TLC.

Positives: very clean rooms and friendly staff so the staff should give themselves a gold star. Negatives: they don't think about the small sinple things like supplying a tea spoon to stir ur coffee or a sugar bowl , lack of choice of coffee in room, bread rolls instead of crossings for continental breakfast. This was our annual visit for a hosted dance week-end in the Warwick Ballroom. Friday and Saturday evening in the ballroom was as good as usual. On Sunday we decided to visit the Starlight Lounge for "family entertainment". Very disappointing. The programme said children's entertainment till 9-00pm. At 10-00pm they were still being encouraged onto the dance floor!!!

Nice welcoming reception staff, room clean and roomy, food was lovely and plenty of it. Restsraurant was clean and airy. Spa was lovely and relaxing with friendly staff. Large games room and nice size swimming pool. Only a short walk into town and beaches. If you do not feel like driving bust stop to neighbouring Painton and Brixham just outside.
