went with 3 friends today for xmas lunch and I would rate the food very highly my friends and myself really enjoyed the meal. also the service was excellent lovely staff working there.even met the chef who was very presentable nice to know where our food is coming from and prepared by someone who looks nice.

The Royal Hotel and carvery is a small hotel.My bedroom and en suite were excellent,The bathroom in particular was first class, one of the cleanest and well kept I have experienced, including those in much more expensive hotels. The breakfast was also excellent and good value.
