Found hotel staff very friendly and would help if they could. Only booked Bed & Breakfast but had Dinner on 3 of the Days (They have a charge for, 2 Course. 3Course, and 4 Course meal from the menu). The meals we had were excellent and had a choice of food. Breakfast was excellent with choice of fruits, cereals, continental... more

I think this hotel would be described as a classic English seaside hotel, right on a point at the southern end of Torquay with great views of the sea and coastline if you are on seaside of the building which I wasn’t but the public rooms on the ground floor have the same views. My room 33 was pleasant enough... more

My wife and I were enjoying our stay until on our penultimate day, we arrived back at our room to find the door left open and the room cleaned except for the bed being unmade. Deciding to stay in our room for the afternoon, we were rather surprised when the barman let himself in with a key, carrying a glass... more

I booked two nights at this hotel with my wife and two step daughters (10 and 9). Cleanliness - no problem whatsoever (even with some building work going on).. Service - excellent, friendly, efficient. Location - a good 30 minute walk into Torquay along a very busy road but right on the shoreline with excellent views and a small almost... more

We have just return from a five day break at the Livermead Cliff Hotel. We loved every minute of the holiday. When we arrived at the Livermead Cliff Hotel we were looking for a room with a sea view. Unfortunately they did not have a Double Room available. We were shown the Suite and feel in love with the view... more

Hotel staff were helpful, friendly and efficient; the room was spotless and always prepared to a high standard. Dinners were tasty and imaginative. The hotel lift has a mind of its own so is best avoided. This is the only negative comment; our stay was enjoyable and excellent value. more

Pleasant enough hotel, obliging staff, good mingling areas; great sandwiches. Full english breakfast was cold. Average rooms but bed below average - not much padding between you and the bed springs. suggest you take a camping mattress with you if you are not the complaining sort. more

We have just spent 3 days at Livermead Cliff and couldn't fault it all. We had a family room overlooking the sea which was huge and spotlessly clean including the decor. The hotel backs right onto the sea with access to a secluded little beach which was great for the children. We arrived early to avoid the traffic ( 10am... more
