We have just returned from a weekend break at the Livermead Cliff Hotel. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and efficient. The food was amazing with a varied menu every night. Some of the bedrooms are "tired" but clean and warm. The views across the bay are great stunning, we will return. more

New function room superb for wedding reception with panoramic views over Torbay from the balcony area (and much of the hotel) where we had welcome drinks. Location is right on the see front and has small bay in front of the hotel which is very pretty. Hotel is OK, however, does need a bit of updating. Arrived with trepidation as we had read what other people had writen about the hotel. the hotel is ideally placed on the front with lovely views over the bay. Stayed for a few nights in May and generally a good experience. Friendly, professional staff, superb sea view from the room, comfortable bed and clean room (though a visitor to our room who's a housekeeper tutted at some of the missed bits!). I stayed for 4 nights in a single room at a decent rate. The room was small but the view directly out to sea was great. Housekeeping was good. I slept well, noise levels were low. There is free wireless internet throughout the hotel. Breakfast was cooked to order for hot items and was good. Service was fast and efficient.... more
