Stayed here in June 2009 with a coach trip. Hotel was very dated and could do with a good facelift. The floorboards squeaked in the bedrooms and the hallways and the nightly entertainment left a lot to be desired. The food was basic - you never left the table feeling too full! Posters adorned the walls in the hallways, rooms... more

Visited in June this year -last visited in September 2008.A noticeable improvement, the smokers are still warned about smoking areas not in rooms etc, but thats the law... and their hotel policy to keep it within the regulations. There is a cabin to use outside with seating if the weather is unkind for the smokers and a lovely balcony overlooking... more

I have never written a holiday review before but after hearing verbally the bad reviews for the Seascape Hotel in Torquay, in fairness, I felt compelled to record my own experience of this hotel. Myself and six friends all aged in our 50's and 60's stayed for two nights this last weekend, 17/19th April 2009. We booked through Travelstyle for... more

My husband and I just returned from a weekend break at the hotel and we have nothing but praise. The hotel staff very very friendly and attentive especially the restaurant staff who go that extra mile to provide a great service. Our room was large and had wonderful veiws across the bay, the cleanliness was second to none. I can... more

Dont go to this hotel expecting a cruise theme because its not going to happen, the dining room staff wear sailor suits and the room is decorated with different figures from the themed countries , the food or the entertainment does not comply very well to the "theme of the day or night" very disappointing. The hotel wasnt bad, dining... more

I was on a coach tour from Wales and thought I had landed in an episode of Fawlty Towers. On entering the hotel I found the owner/ manager shouting in my face about their £50 fine for anyone smoking in the hotel, the whole coach party was greeted in this way even if they didn't smoke - what a welcome!... more
