Spent 3 hours on internet trying to decide where to stay in Torquay. All I can say is that I made the right choice. Great place to stay with fantastic rooms, brilliant hospitality and within walking distance to everything. My husband and I will be going back...for sure. We recently stayed at the Buckingham Lodge for 1 night, needing accommodation for a business stay. We found the owners, welcoming, friendly and relaxed. On arrival, we were upgraded from a Double to a Super King size room with lovely views of the Park, bay window, and a large ensuite. The bedroom and ensuite were spotlessly clean!! Just a great little place to stay. Very close to the sea and close to the town centre too. Breakfasts were fantastic. Local produce and very friendly service. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a weekend in Torquay. more

Just stayed 3 nights in the family room. This hotel has baths as well as showers in the rooms which is the main reason for us choosing it. My fiance and I stayed at the hotel for the weekend and we were very impressed. Lorraine and Paul - the hotel owners, made us very welcome with their friendliness and delicious breakfasts (especially the Devon sausages!). It could not be better located being only seven minutes from the beach and a short stroll to the town. All in all... more
