This Hotel should not appear in the Torquay Tourist Guide. It is little more than a doss house. The first room we were placed in was a dark hovel and filthy. With dirty tissues and nail clipping. Plus a pair of nail sissors half hidden behind a cabinet. The dust lay in half inch layers. Two siigle beds with double... more

I have stoped at both the Inglewood and the Kistor on may ocassions, OK they are not the Ritz but then they are not Ritz prices, the staff have always been most helpfull and friendly and respond to any problems in a positive way. They are first class at organising re-unions and group gatherings. more

Location: Fair, but outside appearance is not inviting. It looks better from the rear, but run down. Room: Our room,no.30, was a disaster. Very small, bare, no character. Overlooked main entrance. En suite:Extremely cramped, designed for midgets, strong smell of sewage all 6 nights. Inside area: A rabbit-warren of corridors, ups and downs, would not be accessible for some older folk. Food:... more

My mum visited this dive 14 yrs ago with my father just before he died and she wanted to re-visit it for sentimental reasons. That is the ONLY reason why we didn't turn around and book elsewhere as soon as we went in. I dont even know where to start! the place is filthy - just move the bedside cabinet... more
