I stayed at this hotel with 7 friends through Leisuretime in Cardiff. Staff were very friendly and could not do enough. Food was fresh, hot and plentiful. Rooms were small and basic but very clean. As the weather was bad did not venture out but seemed very high up. Would definitely recommend. more

We visited the Maycliffe Hotel in Aug 09 and enjoyed our four night stay. It is a clean, well run and organised hotel run by a small team of friendly people. Service in the dining room was a bit slow but the food was worth waiting for and was freshly cooked. Our room was adequate in size but not over... more

just returned from the maycliffe hotel, (8 of us in total) not one of the best places to stay, room was clean, but bathroom tiny, to get in the shower was a work of art. Food portions very small, waiter very very rude. hardly any communication with owners. ceiling coming down on landing outside our room. I know you get... more

We stayed at this hotel through a trip booked with Leisure Holidays for 3 days. Anyone knowing Torquay will know that the majority of the hotels are placed up on the hill. The hotel is a typical 2 star, and we never expected anymore. Our bedroom was quaint, not the biggest room I’ve ever stayed in, but the hotel is... more

My wife and myself stayed there as a 5 day National Holidays break. All was fine until on the next day after arriving, something was stolen out of a drawer, reported the incident to the management, and the driver of the coach, but nothing was done or said further on the matter, BE AWARE !!! more

Just returned from this hotel, we went on a Leisure tour, which for £70.00m per a two night stay ,diner bed and breakfast, was exceptional value for money. The breakfast very nice, especially their sausage, and the evening meal was good traditional english food. The hotel was warm and cosy, and they even put on the entertainment for the night,... more

This is the second time i have visited this lovely hotel with my family, and it is the second time i have gone away pleased and impressed. The hotel is in a nice location, quiet and hidden from the hassle of the town centre but still only walking distance from it and the beach. The rooms met all our families... more
