Stayed at the Hudson for 1 night in August. The building and hosts are very pleasant, however everything seems slightly inflexible. They called me at 5.30pmquestioning our arrival time. Once we had arrived we were advised that there is a 30 minute slot (8.30 - 9.00am) for beakfast. All in all it was ok, clean and tidy.... but we were... more

After returning from a roadtrip which took us through many of the seaside villages of Devon and Cornwall, I must report back that the Hudson Hotel was by far the best place we stayed. I rate it 10 out 10 for value, location and friendly service. I even wrote down the name and brand of the giant size Queen size... more

The Hudson Hotel is more of a bed and breakfast establishment. The location is excellent, a short stroll to the harbour, and main shopping area. A further short stroll will take you along the beach front. The room was clean, had a TV/DVD, tea and coffee making facilities. No phone. It did have an ironing board but no iron or... more

First the positives...The hotel was very clean and tidy and the chap who welcomed us was very helpful & welcoming. The breakfast was very good with a large choice of options. The room and on-suite bathroom were also spotless and the shower was fab. Now some negatives... No parking space's was available, so we had to drive around the corner &... more

This hotel was very beautiful but the rooms were extremely small for two people. I paid only $115.00 per night through Priceline and had a private bath so who could complain. I would not however, spend $250.00 a night through the hotel reservations, expedia, orbitz ect........ Visiting multiple cities across the county and Canada, I always used the concierge to... more

I stayed at the Hudson for 5 nights while travelling from Australia. The hotel has been tastefully renovated to fit the period of the original building. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They obviously take pride in the way the hotel is presented. Its located close to everything and is great value for money in comparison to other UK... more

Decent clean rooms, but lacking any soul. Proprieters friendly, but may want to increase the half hour early breakfast slot and a later checkout time. Not a place to relax, more a stop over for business travellers. more

The Hudson Hotel is a lovely old building that has been tastefully refurbished to a high standard. It is clean, modern and very well positioned in Torquay (just minutes from the harbour). We had room 4 which was very spacious, had a large bay window with a door leading out to a small balcony and a really good en suite... more
