We were booked in for 2 nights from the 14th June, for our Honeymoon. We drove nearly 6 hours to get there, but when we arrived, and we were shown to our room, to say we were disappointed would be an understatement... The room was dirty, half an inch of dust on lamps, something had been spilt on the bedside tables... More

We visited this hotel and thought it 'looked nice' however the reality was far more impressive. The service is absolutely brilliant, Alex the manager is a credit to the hotel and if only every hotel manager (and we've encountered a few) were as pleasant, friendly and most of all as helpful as he was. He gave us lots of information,... More

This hotel's surpassed all our expectations. Firstly Id like to comment on the hard working staff. They work long hours and always have a big smile on their face, always willing to help. Alex the hotel manager was very helpful and gave us directions to a number of local places and was always happy to chat. Nuno was our waiter... More

Stayed at the balmoral at Easter with my husband and sister, food was excellent and staff very helpfull. Lovely hotel paid little extra to have a larger room well worth it, room 23. We are visiting my family again shortly and defenetaly going to this hotel again. Would recommend this hotel as it was very clean and homely. Pauline.

We spent a very enjoyable weekend at the Balmoral and were not really sure what to expect. Our room was surprisingly large and very comfortable. Our greeting was very pleasant and although we were too late for our cream tea we were promised it the following day. Promise delivered and a very nice cream tea indeed. We stayed on a... More

This was our first visit, but from the moment we stepped in we felt like part of the family. I was amazed at how many of the visitors come every year and made us feel so welcome as well as the staff. The food was excellent home made food with good choice. There was 8 of us and the service... More

This was our first stay at the Balmoral...it won't be the last! Situated only a 2 minute walk from the beach, the hotel isn't in the main part of Torquay but just around the headland on the eastern side of Torbay.....such a lovely spot! The hotel was very comfortable and although our room didn't have a sea view, the lounge... More

Stayed here quite a few times over the last four or five years. Just gets better and better. Food is excellent, rooms are comfortable and on our weekends, brilliant entertainment. We have even had lovely weather each time!
