My husband and i stayed at the Aveland Hotel this weekend and i cannot recommend it highly enough. The couple who run it are friendly, welcoming and had lots of suggestions of things to do in the local area. The rooms were a good size, clean and well kept and had a lovely homely feel. My work has brought me down to Torquay on a regular basis over the last four years, in which time I've 'sampled' a number of Torquay's guesthouses. For me, the Aveland Hotel is the pick of the bunch.
