We have stayed in many hotels and B&B's around the UK and the Cleveland is definitely up there with the best. Driving up to the Hotel, we were pleased to see that the garden was very well kept and there were some lovely hanging baskets and beautiful Bonsai trees, all looking very heathly and well looked after. Six of us arrived at the Cleveland on 8th August; two elderly parents, my sister and brother-in-law and my 17 year old daughter. Rooms were to an excellent standard and I have never stayed in such a clean hotel. Breakfast was great. Wayne and Jane (the owners) couldn't have been more helpful in recommending and booking restaurants for us. The weather was perfect and it was great to sit in the hotel garden and relax. Home from home, once again a really enjoyable stay at our favourite Hotel in Torquay. Jane & Wayne continue to impress with their 'nothing too much' approach toward guests. Spotless room, great breakfast and just a few minutes from the seafront and shops. more

We stayed 4 nights at the Cleveland and had a great time.The room was lovely and spotlessly clean.ensuite was very good and shower was excelent. Wayne+Jane were great host we all sat in the garden having tea we could not have asked for more it was a dream.We will be back in september. more

last stayed here two years ago, and just had to say,it has all been refurbished to an exceelant standard,owners remembered us from our last stay and as before very friendly and hospitable,breakfast lovely,very clean,rooms spot on,and only a short walk to the town, hopefully will not leave it so long for a return visit more
