We stayed in the Garden House for a long weekend and it worked really well for two couples and two toddlers. The accommodation was lovely with modern decor and mod cons and a beautiful vase of flowers on arrival. The pool and soft play area were great for the boys and it was in the most beautiful area. We really... More

We have stayed at Gitcombe twice now with our three year old toddler and it is the perfect place for families with young children. The standard of accomodation is high which makes it feel like home away from home and the facilities make it extra special. The indoor pool and soft play area were essential for us as it rained... Great for young families we stayed in the Coach House which was very nice, would have given it five stars if the beds were a slightly more comfortable (maybe time for some new mattresses?) heaven forbid you dont follow the directions there! (there are two maltsters arms on the way, make sure you get the right one!) More

We have just returned from a wonderful week in The Coach House. It felt like home. A lovely stay - if I wanted to buy a perfect cottage for the family this would be it almost down to the last detail. The advantage of the Coach House was we had the privacy one has when renting a private cottage with... More

We've just returned from our 1st family holiday with out 6 month old daughter. We stayed in the Hayloft & it was just perfect for our needs. We loved the contemporary decor & the open plan living space meant Seren was so happy as mum & dad was in view all week! The fact that the Hayloft is set aside... More

We spent 2 weeks in Burrator cottage in June and had a great holiday. The setting is beautiful with stunning views and countryside. The facilities are great ,especially as we had quite a bit of rain, so spent lots of time in the indoor swimming pool and soft play area. With a 1 year old this was fantastic. The outdoor... More

Just returned from a week in The Hayloft. Wonderful place with fantastic on-site facilities especially for little ones. Its also located brilliantly so that there is loads to do in the area with kids (whatever the weather)! Note that the roads leading to and from Gitcombe are single track so not suitable for walking with buggys. The Hayloft was beautifully... More

This was our first visit to Gitcombe House and we were not disappointed. We stayed in Maristow cottage - beautifully decorated with all mods cons. Our friends stayed in Yennadon barn. The large open plan living area worked really well and the galleried landing above was an ideal retreat for teenagers with laptops.....! It also provided an additional sleeping area... More

We had an amazing week at Gitcombe! The facilities were great and kept adults and children entertained! The pool area is family friendly with a great outdoor jacuzzi - amazing views across the Devon countryside. Top points went to the tennis court which we used very day - and a 1 minute walk from the cottage. Cottages are very well... More
