Far exceeded what we thought, one night only but excellent room and service. Lovely location overlooking the river. Rooms have recently had new carpets and decorated to a resonable standard. They apear to be refubishing quite a few of the rooms, everything was spotlessly clean. Good breakfast but not included in the price, it was an extra £7.50 pp. more

Very reasonably priced - £49 per room per night. Friendly and helpful staff. Good customer service skills. Offers a carvery every day for £5 on weekdays and £8 at weekends. Breakfast ranged from £5 to £7.50, which was for a large full English breakfast. Good quality food. Rooms were clean and reasonably sized. Lovely views over the Dorset countryside. more

We booked this hotel because our friends were getting married there, the room was basic but with a lovely view over the river and gardens, the windows did not do much to stop the noise of the planes flying over into Bournemouth Airport. The receptionist was not too friendly or interested and seemed to have many jobs which might explain... more

It is only 2 star but we were pleasently surprised. the staff where very kind and attentive especially to our one year old daughter, supplying us with a travel cot, baby monitor, sheets for the cot and baby towels, they even washed up her bowl at breakfast and... more

My wife and I had a miserable experience there. Because the manager had failed to note we ordered a Times meal (his fault) his duty manager insisted we pay the full price and said she would call the police if we didn't . The manager asked us to file a complaint. We did. Over a month later and he's not... more

Very warm welcome from the wonderful ELLIE whom you would assume was the owner , she is so friendly and efficient. Place full of charachter , not a modern boutique place... more

We stayed at the Bridgehouse hotel (Longham, Ferndown, Dorset. U.K.) for two nights (Thursday and Friday) during September 2007. We were in the area attending a wedding and, as there were apparently a number of local weddings that weekend, nearby accommodation was hard to find. The Bridgehouse was one of very few places to have rooms available. The hotel is... more

Enjoyed our stray. Room was clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Although we were at the front of the hotel the road was quite busy but the secondary glazing kept the noise down. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The terrace and garden were a pleasure. We will be staying with you again. more
