The hotel is a bit of walk uphill from the main bournemouth beach and also the Bournemouth International Centre(BIC). I was there for a conference and me and my colleague took a twin bed room on first floor with internet access & sat TV on a desktop computer (good average speed better than dialup). I first reviewed the Gresham in 2004 and have stayed there 4 or 5 times every year since then up until it changed ownership in 2006.
