Stayed in a single room recently. Was really shocked at the poor standard for the price £45 a night. The room was tiny, drab and the bed was falling apart. We spent two nights in the Yenton Hotel. We travel a lot and most of the times we stay in very comfortable hotels. We must say the Yenton was more than comfortable. Stayed here with my Mother on a Turkey and Tinsel and had a fabulous time. it is obvious that a lot of money has been spent on refurbishing( the bedroom curtains are fantastic) and I loved the obviously new quilts. the food and entertainment were great especially the home made hot puddings. friendly staff and owners.
